- Food grade, great quality 1.2mm stainless steel grade 201 body construction.
- Base composed of 5mm aluminium clad layer sandwiched between two 1.2mm stainless steel layers. The internal stainless steel layer is #201 grade stainless steel and the outer is #430 grade stainless steel. This makes the pot durable, extremely heat conducting and also able to be used in induction cooking.

What are induction cooktops?
Traditional methods used to generate heat to cook food include gas and ceramic.
Gas cooktops burn gas to heat a pot or pan. The pan distributes the heat and cooks the food. Ceramic cooktops heat an element via electrical currents, which then heats the pan and cooks the food.
Induction cooktops stand apart from these familiar heating methods. Induction Cooktops use electromagnetic energy to cook food. The heat is not transferred from gas or an element. The cooking vessel (pot, pan, etc.) itself becomes the original generator of the cooking heat.
Why forged base? Stainless steel alone is durable and safest to use for cooking but the material is not as good as aluminium is transferring heat. So stainless steel pots without an external aluminium cladding (forging) will cause heat spots and uneven cooking, Adding the aluminium clad on the outside gets you the best features of both metals.
